Atlantic Canada Trade Mission to Guyana 2023

Energy NL, with support from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Industry, Energy and Technology (IET), is organizing an Atlantic Canada trade mission to Guyana during the week of October 16, 2023.

Mission Program Overview

According to the World Bank, Guyana remains one of the fastest growing nations in the world, with an economy that is projected to expand by a massive 49.7 per cent this year. As such, opportunities for Atlantic Canadian companies are immense. In keeping with Energy NL’s new mission and strategic objectives, activities will focus on multiple business sectors including renewable and non-renewable energy, cleantech/oceantech, mining, digitalization and infrastructure. 

DAI has been contracted to provide matchmaking and business support to companies participating in this mission. DAI works directly with local suppliers and manages the Centre for Local Business Development in Georgetown. 

Activities will include:

    •    Pre-mission 

         o    Information sessions

         o    One-on-one market readiness support from DAI

    •    In-market 

         o    Seminars

         o    B2B matchmaking services 

         o    Networking events

         o    Site visits

         o    Ground transportation
